Diesel's father was a stallion (now gelded) called Lorcan. He was 1/2 Clyde 1/2 Stationbred and jet black. Stood around the 15.2hh mark and from memory he was about 5 years old. Stood at Foothills Stud in the Waitakere's.
Mother was a black TB mare called Neeva. She was by Grosvener out of Probably. Her grandsire is Sir Tristam. She stood at 16.2hh
When Diesel was in utero his mother contracted Cellulitus. As she was pregnant there was not much the breeders could do until she had foaled. Unfortunately when Diesel was 3 months old the meds were not working and the decision was made to put her to sleep. Diesel was weaned around this time and also gelded. He also had a small hernia which was also fixed.
So there is a bit of background of my boy. Diesel is now 2 years and 7 months old and standing around the 15.2hh mark. He is really starting to fill out and I am really looking forward to doing heaps of groundwork with him this summer.
